What is the MYP?
Roosevelt High School uses the teaching framework of the IB Middle Years Program. The Middle Years Program provides a flexible, inquiry-based, concept-driven approach to teaching and learning. MYP is for all Roosevelt students in grades 9 and 10. It provides a framework of learning, which encourages students to become creative, critical and reflective thinkers.

Students engage with global challenges through inquiry, action, and reflection.
Explore significant content and provides opportunities to develop both disciplinary and interdisciplinary understanding.

Inquiry- based learning
Personal Project
This is a student-centered, student driven and age-appropriate project. It enable students to engage in practical explorations of a topic of interest to the student.
The project encourages international-mindedness with the implementation of the Global Contexts.
RHS supports students ability to state and accomplish personal learning goals through developing a process for managing their time, making progress on a project over a sustained period of time and reflecting on their process for the project.
