Respect means that you walk the talk and demonstrate a respect for the thoughts, feelings, and material possessions of each person in library media center.
Belonging means you are a fully present member of our learning community and contribute to the learning experience in a meaningful and positive manner. We need you. You need us.

MPS Literacy Goal
One of four major strategic goals for the Minneapolis Public Schools is to promote literacy. Libraries are all about literacy. "23 state studies all confirm that the presence of certified librarians in schools leads to a measurable difference in student achievement. " (Kachel, Debra E. 2013 School Library Research Summarized: A Graduate Class Project. Mansfield University.)
