So far, your blood page should have:
- 12/21 --> 2 text boxes (Blood spatter intro, case study comparison)
- 1/8 Passive lab 1 --> A spreadsheet embedded that has your passive lab 1 data and 2 graphs
- --> A text box with answers to the lab questions
- 1/9 Passive lab 2 --> A text box answers to the lab questions
- --> A photo of your blood droplets

Projected Blood Lab 1: Angle of Impact
- You will be creating sample drop patterns created by droplets landing at different angles from the same height.
- Label five pieces of copy paper with the angle for each droplet - 15o, 30o, 45o, 60o, or 75o.
- Place the first piece of paper on the clip board and align the clipboard with the 15o line. Hold the bottle of blood at a height of 50 centimeters from the top of the table.
- GENTLY squeeze the pipette so that ONE drop of blood is released and lands on the paper. Repeat two more times at this angle.
- Continue testing by dropping blood from a height of 50 centimeters at each of the other angles.
- Take a photo of droplets at each angle
- Upload the photos to your page
- Answer the lab questions on your page

This final blood lab will be a class assessment. Everyone will receive the same score, so it is everyone's responsibility to make sure this lab is completed.

- Make 1 copy of this spreadsheet
- Share it with everyone in class
- Each column of tables is assigned a different angle. Find which angle you're assigned.
- Collect experimental data
- 3 drops from 0.5m, 3 drops from 1.0 m, at your assigned angle
- Measure the length and width of each drop, enter into data table
- Using a formula, calculate average length and width. Cell B7 was done as an example.
- Analysis data
- Using a formula, calculate the "roundness ratio", or the ratio of length:width. Cell C18 was done as an example.
- Create 2 line graphs, one for each height. Graph the angle vs. length:width ratio. Make sure these graphs display the data correctly.
- Finishing the lab
