Assessments and Grading During Distance Learning

Fall 2020

  • Elementary students will receive regular report cards.

  • Students in grades 6-8 will earn grades A, B, C, D, or No Credit (NC). NC will not have a negative impact on a student's GPA.

  • No administration of universal screeners (such as aReading and aMath in grades 1-8) during distance learning.

  • ECE and ECSE: There will be three checkpoints for diagnostic assessments: fall, winter, and spring. Eve and the High Five District Team will partner with families to increase family observation documentation. Each program will be assessing for or more areas: Social-Emotional, Physical, Language, Cognitive, Literacy, Mathematics and at least one piece of documentation per dimension.

  • K-5 Literacy and Math: K-5 teachers will administer 1:1 diagnostic assessments.

  • 6-8 Literacy: 6-8 students will be assessed using Lexia PowerUp.
