Hello my name is Ms. Tazia and I am one of the high-5 teachers at Bethune. This is my second year working at Bethune and my 10th year in High Five. I received my Masters in Education at St. Thomas University. I have two daughters who attended Minneapolis Public Schools. I love building relationships with students, and helping them grow and develop in a safe, nurturing environment. In my free time I love to read, bike, and cross country ski.

Mrs. Guzmán

Hi my name is Mrs. Guzmán and I am one of the High 5 teachers at Bethune. I received a degree in Psychology and Early Childhood Education at the University of Minnesota- Duluth and a degree from Metropolitan State University in Urban Education. I have been teaching preschool and Kindergarten for over 20 years and have been a teacher in North Minneapolis since 2002. I have always enjoyed engaging students through music and the arts and love teaching young children how to read!! 📚

Hi I'm Christy Kujawa, the Family and Parent Educator for Bethune! I have my Master's in Family Education from the University of MN and have been working at Minneapolis Public Schools in this role for 10 years. My goal is to strive to provide Parent Education for High Five parents in ways that best meet the needs of each family. I'd love to help answer any questions, provide resources, and offer opportunities for families to support their child’s school readiness and success.
