Mr. Zurbey

Mr. Zurbey has been an educator for 10 years. This is his fourth year in Minneapolis Public Schools, all at Andersen United Middle School. Mr. Zurbey prides himself on making strong relationships with students and staff. Dan believes in strong communication, collaboration, and high expectations as foundational pieces of a successful school. Prior to becoming the 8^th grade admin TOSA, Dan was a middle school social studies teacher for 9 years and a MYP IB Coordinator at the beginning of this school year.

Dan graduated from Hamline University with a double major in social studies and history, and a minor in education. He is currently finishing his master’s degree at Concordia University, St. Paul in educational leadership.

Dan is excited to work with the 8^th grade students, many of which he taught last school year, their families, and staff to make Andersen the best possible place to be.
