Mandatory Building Inspection
Sat, Aug 26, 2023, 11:59 AM
Hello All! -
Riverside Parks is scheduling a MANDATORY inspection of ALL structures on site in the near future. This includes private structures that do not normally have public access.
We don't have a date yet, but I'm trying to give as much notice as possible. We want to get this done by November latest.
This is an important step towards the lease renewal and for getting permission to use the structures.
Riverside County Parks is hiring an independent engineer to assess the structures in the village, and this means they will need to see inside of EVERYTHING, no exceptions.
This will probably be a multiple day process taking place on weekdays, so if you have not already given a key or access code to Rick for your structure then please do so ASAP.
If you need to clean up or prep your structure for access by the engineer, here are the available options:
Weekdays - as always, weekdays are available with prior coordination with Rick
Labor Day Weekend (Sep 2-3) - It's short notice, but Labor day weekend is available
October Weekends Until 6pm (Oct 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29) - Coffin Creek doesn't open until 7pm, so the village is available during the day on the weekends. Just make sure to coordinate with Rick beforehand to make sure he knows to expect you.
-----
While I'm sure their inspector will be instructed to to be strict, I think they will find (like all of the professionals we have hired over the last couple years) that the village is well built and in good shape.
Best,
David Pulcifer

Hello McDara Family,
Hope everyone is doing well. Today was the Koroneburg Festival meeting in regard to the build inspection being mandated by Riverside county. This was a Q/A meeting for all building owners and or representatives of the building. Gaylene and I were there to listen and ask questions.
The gist of the counties concerns are squatters/ people living on site year-round and safety of the building to participants and guests.
What the festival wants us to do to make the county as happy as possible.
Provide keys, codes, or combos to the buildings lock.
Removal of all mattresses from all buildings.
Removal of the stoves, grills, bbqs
Removal of camp toilets
Making the builds interior be accessible; able to walk in and look at structure and state of the building.
Time line:
As of now we do not have a time for the building inspections.
Koroneburg is accessible during the week give Rick a call or text 48 hours in advance so he can have the village open for you.
For the next 2 weekends we can access the Koroneburg grounds from Sat-Sun morning up to 5PM.
The Coffin Creek Halloween event will be going on at 6PM and wants us out before the event opens.
So to reiterate:
Remove anything that would look like someone is living there, we can clean out the building during the week and have morning and some of the afternoon on the weekend. They are giving us 2 weeks to get this done.
The hope is to have the faire site cleaned and ready for inspection as soon as possible.
When the Festival has a Date and time for the inspection, they will inform us.
The building inspection is going to take several days to complete, do to so many buildings.
We can be there during the inspection on your building if you want but it is not necessary.
If anyone has any questions you can contact David Pulcifer info@renfestcorona.com or Me
Take care everyone.

Good morning everyone.
I will be a little more clear on what the plan kinda is. The faire is giving us time to go out to the faire grounds this week, next week and the weekends with restricted times.
Call Rich in advance to access the faire grounds during the week.
Timeline:
October 15 through 29th. Weekends you need to be off site by 6pm.
This month is a busy month for me. I have Rories Birthday this Coming Saturday and the following Sunday I am doing an art faire and more during November and December.
I will be going to the site during the week starting on 23rd.
My goal there is to get the mattresses in my house and the griddle and with luck the stove and bbq. I have limited room in my garage but will try.
For everyone else your property is your responsibility, if you have any problems let me know and I will see what I can do.
I Know it's short notice and a pain to figure out but this is a short term once the county has done its inspection we will know what the next step will be.
Take care everyone.
