ADRC Care A Van Schedule: The ADRC Care-A-Van operates on a regular fixed-route system that takes participants to enrichment and outreach events. Normal hours of operation are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and daily hours may be altered due to scheduling availability. The schedule is published monthly on News & Views, ADRC of Southwest Wisconsin Facebook Page and Iowa County TV Boards. Riders will contact the ADRC at 608-930-9835 to enroll, and there is a minimum of four riders for ADRC Care-A-Van to operate. If passengers wish to be picked up from their homes, the ADRC Care-A-Van will accommodate as it is important to the ADRC that people confined to their homes are able to participate. The program is available to all Iowa County residents over the age of 60 or who are disabled, regardless of age, with a suggested contribution of $5.00 per trip. If a resident is under the age of 60 and not disabled, they are allowed to participate, but would pay a required fee of $10.00 per trip.
RURAL TAXI Rural Taxi operates on a demand response system that offers door-to-door service where consumers will be transported to destinations of their choice within Iowa County along with out-of-county destinations within five miles of the county line [i.e., Montfort (Grant County), Spring Green (Sauk County), Blanchardville (Lafayette County), Muscoda (Grant County)]. Normal hours of operation are Tuesday and Thursday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and may operate after 4:00 p.m., as needed. Passengers will call the ADRC to schedule a ride at 608-930-9835. The program is available to all rural Iowa County residents with preference given to those age 60 and older or who are disabled, regardless of age. There is a copay required for this service of $2.00 to $25.00 per ride, depending on the pickup point and consumer destination, and $0.50 for any additional stops starting May 1, 2023.
