GENERAL INFORMATION & CREDIT REQUIREMENTS
Before selecting your courses, be sure you know the specific courses that are required and the number of credits required in each subject area. Be sure that you meet all the requirements.
Ask teachers, the school counselors, or the principals any questions that you have regarding courses and the times that they are offered.
Complete this material as though it were your final registration. Your selections will be used to determine next year’s staffing levels and programs. It will be very difficult to make course changes once you have registered.
4. To minimize schedule changes in the fall:
Discuss your selections with your parents now.
Select courses aimed at your future post-secondary goals.
Select courses related to courses you may want to take at a later date.
DAILY CLASS REQUIREMENTS & COURSE CREDIT REQUIREMENTS
Every Student should register for at least 3 credits per semester.
During school hours, when students are not in scheduled classes, they will be scheduled into a study hall. At Mount Horeb High School, study halls are quiet spaces to study, complete homework, or read. We encourage students to take full advantage of available opportunities. We have courses that satisfy academic, vocational, and personal goals.
COURSE CREDIT REQUIREMENTS
The District has established standard credit requirements for high school graduation. To graduate from Mount Horeb High School, a student shall complete a minimum of 24 credits that include the following courses and sequencing:
