Music is a part of all our lives. We listen to it, study it, we can play it, it's in the background of the movies we watch, advertisements we see, even in the background whilst we shop!
This year, 7C and 8C will be presenting a collaborative item at the Showcase performance, in the form of a massed choir and African Drumming circle. 'Kuimba' is an uplifting and joyous piece of music, and has been performed in many different musical settings, and we are excited to be working on our own creative interpretation of the piece.
Unfortunately due to the two lockdowns we have experienced this year so far- our rehearsal schedule has been interrupted, so our progress has been haltered each time, however- I am really proud of the students in both 7C and 8C for their adaptability and maturity throughout these challenges.
Many thanks to Ms Doyle, our specialist vocal teacher at the College for her guidance in our choir rehearsals.
And a big thank you to all of 7C and 8C for your work so far in our piece.
