Visual Arts Teacher
Heidi grew up in Boulder, Colorado and spent her childhood drawing, painting and competing in mogul skiing alongside her brothers. She attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, double majoring in Art and Art History with a minor in Spanish. She is currently completing her Master's in the Art of Education at Fort Lewis, while teaching at Mountain. Heidi enjoys drawing detailed pencil portraits and creating colorful paintings on canvas and shoes in oil and acrylic. She has worked with kids for many years, founding and running her own nonprofit for children with cancer, Heidelore’s Heroes, working as a counselor at Camp Rainbow, a camp for cancer fighters, and teaching mogul skiing at Winter Park. She is excited for another year of helping the students at Mountain discover a love of art and to unlock their potential. When she is not doing art, Heidi enjoys mountain biking, camping, photography and reading.
