Through these experiences, 4th-grade students develop a foundation in art techniques and elements, fostering creativity, and an appreciation for the diverse world of art.
This year, 4th graders have completed many different projects surrounding the elements of art. For each project, they focus on a different element in order to create their art piece. They have been exploring the use of color, different materials and techniques in their work.

For the 4th grader's exhibition on Colorado history, each student was assigned a historical figure. In art, they were taught how to draw portraits from observation, and completed a portrait drawing, along with a frame, to go with their drawing.
