In class we are reading the book Charlie Hernandez (Book 1). My begining of the year goal is to work on my comprehension of literature. I will work towards my goal by trying to use the notice and note signposts in my writing and find them when I am reading.

For this project I created a Timeline/Research on Fort Lewis. The learning target for this was: I can use research skills to develop a presentation from primary sources. I met this learning target and got a meets.  The project was about native American boarding schools and about the book we were reading two roads. I had to work hard and make sure my information was correct and I was using my time wisely. I think time management is very important right now and in the future. In the future I think I could spend more time on the whole thing instead of spending all my time on one thing.

The most challenging part of this essay was recording it after because I kept shuddering and I messed up a

bunch. Although I also had some trouble citing my sources, I worked through it and it worked out. I also felt

that working with my partners was also challenging because we did not agree on everything so although

there were highs and lows this essay helped me learn for the future.

I believe I am a stronger writer in the introduction section of an essay. Crafting an impactful introduction

allows me to set the tone and engage the reader's interest from the beginning. I try to excel at presenting a

clear thesis statement and relevant background information that investigates the topic. This initial framing

helps guide the reader's understanding and expectations throughout the essay. I try to create a compelling

argument that encourages further exploration of the subject matter.
