TPOL: How has your definition of Confidence changed?
At the beginning of the year, Confidence meant being brave and trying new things and being okay if you fail. By the end of this year, My meaning of confidence has changed to Believing in your abilities and that you can do hard things.
How has your confidence developed during your sixth grade year? (Discuss 2 examples, one class related and one personal example)
I think that I have grown in Humanities because I can now work in groups better and still work hard and do my part of the assignment and my partners can do theirs.
A personal example is riding horses I feel like At the beginning of the year I was on a young pony that was pretty naughty and we were behind everyone but I kept trying and I gained confidence and now I am jumping and showing him in horse shows and I feel like we are starting to get somewhere.

Today I have invited Carol Cunefare, my Horse trainer because she demonstrates all of the habits of heart and mind like Respect, Integrity, Effort, and Refinement
Respect: Carol demonstrates respect by never yelling at me and just calmly taking or demonstrating a challenging skill that I might be having trouble with. She also respects the horses by giving them lots of pets and treats no matter how the ride went.
Integrity: Carol also demonstrates Integrity by always being truthful in every situation whether it is about the horse or her.
Effort: Carol shows effort by putting in 100% to every lesson even if she is having a bad day. She also asks what you want to work on and puts lots of effort into that to make sure that you have a good ride too.
Refinement: Carol always tries to make her lessons as best as possible so if we are doing the same kind of pole work in many different lessons that day she will try to refine how she has you do the exercise.
I try to be like Carol by always being respectful of others around me. By showing honesty and owning up to my mistakes, and always putting my all into whatever I am doing whether it is in school or out of school, and always trying to improve and know that there is room for improvement even if I think that it was good it can always be better.
