In this lab we created a form with correct answers and a way to show the cycle of rocks and if you get the answers correct you get a piece of a sea creature. I learned how different types of rocks form, what they are called and how they change using metamorphism. It helped me understand it by giving me a yes or no answer when I got a question wrong or right. I used the habits of heart and mind by listening to other peoples ideas and answers to show respect. Plus I showed Effort to never give up even if I kept getting it wrong.  

Virtual Lab 

In this lab we learned how plate tectonics work and how to explain them in different ways. I learned how the plate tectonics  work  and the different plate boundaries like, Convergent, Transform, and Divergent. I think that it helped me understand the concept by giving me an interactive way to learn and show what I know. I used the habits of heart and mind by using refinement to check my work to make sure that it is correct so I can try to get an exceeds like I did.

                Plate Tectonic Lab

 Our learning target for our earth rocks exhibition is I can construct a scientific explanation based on evidence from rock strata for how the geologic time scale is used to organize earth’s 4.6-billion-year-old history. I exceeded this learning target and I am really happy about that. The project that we were assigned was about the first Americans we each got assigned a region in a group of three. The region that I got was the arctic we had to research about the rock layers and how old they are. I think that this group work that I did will help in the future because I think that it is important that I can work with anyone no matter how big a project is.
