Just Mercy Long-Term Learning Target: I can demonstrate my knowledge of Early American history, government and civics through a TED Talk-style presentation that analyzes the major political and social changes that affected the definition of citizenship and the rights of citizens, and explain how those changes continue to impact marginalized groups today.
Kit Carson Long-Term Learning Target: I can apply my knowledge of Westward Expansion, geography and government by constructing a well-organized mock trial for or against Kit Carson using logical reasoning, relevant and credible evidence, and acknowledgement of opposing claims.
Description
This seminar was about the first half of just mercy and how the amendments played a big role in black inequality. I go a meets+ on my written grade because I had the knowledge and I spent time on it. I got a meets+ on my verbal grade because I had some thoughtful comments on the topic. The goal I will set for next time is to reference to the book and the page number more.
I learned that so many people are in the school to prison pipeline.
The skills that I learned were how to put sites in MLB format.
I got a meets on my oral and slides because I worked hard on my slides and script. I got an approaching on my research because I left some thing blanke.
