Equity Promise

Our Promise is to prepare all students for the opportunities of their choice after high school

The goal of post secondary success for all students requires a strategy focused on student achievement and much more. However, student achievement often comes with predictors of success. Too often these predictors fall into systematic patterns associated with race, socio-economic status, gender and disabilities.

Mounds View's approach to disrupt these patterns is known as the Equity Promise.

The Equity Promise:

• Programs and services will be in place at all schools to ensure that race, class, and disability will not predict student's success.
• Student's academic performance will not fall into patterns identifiable by factors such as race, ethnicity, English language proficiency, socio-economic status or disability.
• The school that a student attends will not be the predictor of his or her success in school.
