We try to make your child’s birthday a very special day. Here are some of the things to look forward to:
1. A birthday cover for the chair at their desk.
2. A personalized birthday poster hung so everyone knows it is their birthday!
3. A birthday certificate.
4. A birthday serenade sung by their classmates.
5. A birthday book of their choice read aloud to the class or a fun party game played as a class..
Due to the number of severe food allergies and current health concerns, please do NOT send in treats. A district policy prohibits us from sharing them in school. Small, non-perishable items (stickers, pencils, etc) may be shared with the class if you wish. We have 26 students in our class this year.
In our classroom, half-birthdays are celebrated for those who have birthdays in the summer. If your child's birthday falls on a weekend or a day off, we will celebrate it on the closest school day they attend.
To avoid hurt feelings, please have your child give any birthday party invitations to me to put in Family Folders rather than handing them out themselves.
