¡Hola! My name is Abi Opseth, or Profe Opseth to my students.
I grew up in the eastern metro and graduated from St. Kate's with my bachelor's degree in Spanish Teaching K-12. Like most of my students, I didn't start learning Spanish until middle school. I stuck with it through high school and college and had the opportunity to study abroad in Guatemala for a J-Term and in Peru for a semester to further develop my language skills. As I tell my students, we're never really "done" learning a language - I keep learning more Spanish (and English!) every day.
I'm excited for a great year at Highview!
