4 Take-Aways from 7th Grade ELA

1. Read, Read, Read!!  Your student will have a reading goal this year to challenge them!  I want to see students reading more than they ever have.  Please ask students what book they are reading!

2. Check ParentVUE!  I try very hard to keep my gradebook to date with what we are doing in class.  Students are able to check this as well!  This will also show student growth as grades focus on proficiency in reading skills.  

3. Grades are not everything. In ELA we may go for a time without a new grade.  They are growing and learning as a student and person, even if the gradebook looks the same.  There is also a nongraded section of my gradebook to reflect this growth!
