I was pregnant with my first baby and was nervous about all the things involved with pregnancy and childbirth. My husband and I didn’t have family in the area, so I knew I wanted a doula for that extra support. Brooke was attentive, educational, and genuinely friendly. She spent ample time with me when we first met to answer questions and even shared her own stories of pregnancy and childbirth. She was helpful with discussing a birth plan, suggesting alternatives to labor pain, and listening to my fears. She allowed me to customize my doula package to cater to my needs.

Brooke checked in during my pregnancy and we talked after every doctor appointment. I ended up in labor in the middle of the night and she was by my side. She was calm and supportive in any decision I made. She suggested different techniques to try to help with the pain during labor, which I appreciated because I could not think straight. I requested she take pictures/videos during the birth and she did, all while holding one of my legs! I gave birth at 3:30 am and she even went out to grab us breakfast afterwards.

She visited us in the hospital postpartum and at home. She always asked if she could bring us anything prior to her visits. Brooke offered the emotional and physical support I was looking for during an unknown process. If you’re considering a doula, don’t hesitate to call Brooke! Brooke was nothing but a godsend during my pregnancy and birth experience. This was our first child and I’ve always been nervous when it comes to doctors and hospitals so I knew I wanted a doula to help make the process more comfortable and personal. She always provided a ton of educational material, based on my birthing plan interests and answered every question I had about pregnancy in general. When it turned out I needed to get a c-section and abandon my natural birth plan, Brooke was quick to suggest ways to keep the experience comfortable and as close to how I originally envisioned as possible. She was by my side the moment we arrived at the hospital and helped keep my husband and I calm throughout the whole process, and she even took plenty of candid photos to help us capture the special day. She also provided so much support when I started off struggling with breastfeeding and I don’t know what I would’ve done without her!”
