Language: Children will develop skills such as letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and early writing skills; which includes letter formation and name writing. Children will also practice identifying letters in print. Children will have the opportunity to demonstrate their public speaking skills during whole group activities in front of their peers.
Literacy: Children will hear various stories, songs & fingerplays, rhymes, and learn the basic parts of a book.
Math: Children will practice identifying shapes, colors, and numbers up to 10. They will also develop skills in sorting, patterning, measuring, graphing, one to one correspondence, positional words, and simple addition and subtraction.
Religion: Children will follow the "God Made The World" book in conjunction with Bible stories, prayers, and activities to learn about religious studies. Students also attend whole school Masses at least once per month.
Art: Children will have the opportunity to creatively express themselves through art experiences daily using different mediums.
Social Sciences: Children will cover various topics in social sciences such as health and safety, science skills, social studies, and ways to interact with others in socially appropriate ways.
