Beach Visit Kits

Now available to borrow from the library: Beach Visit Kits!

There are 2 kits are available for Mote staff & interns to borrow to enhance your beach-going experience - make it a fun & educational visit with a positive impact. The kits contain the following - just throw your towel and water bottle into the backpack and head to the beach!

• Beach Conditions Reporting System (BCRS) information (while at the beach, enter what you see into BCRS!)

• Sea Turtle information

• Shells of the Gulf Coast guide

• Fishes of the Gulf Coast guide

• Birds of the Gulf Coast guide

• Reef-safe sunscreen information

• Garbage bags

• Gloves

• Sand pail

Kits are able to be checked out for 1 week at a time, please bring your Mote ID (it acts as your library card).

This is a pilot project currently only available on City Island, if it proves popular, we can expand to MAP & IC2R3.
