The following are ensembles that meet outside of school hours based on the availability of the students involved. Both perform at the annual Madrigal Dinner in the first weekend of December.
The S'Choir is an auditioned extra-curricular choir of mixed voice parts that meets outside of school for rehearsals. They sing a cappella music and various songs from the Renaissance Period. They will perform at the Fall Concert and in the Madrigal Dinner. This ensemble will only meet under the direction of Mr. Brown for the Fall Semester.
Madrigals is the top auditioned group at Morris Community High School. It usually consists of about 24 mixed voice parts, and sings a cappella, Renaissance, and 20th Century music. They will perform at the Fall Concert and Madrigal Dinner. Students will also travel around the community to perform at various venues. Some past venues were the Morris Library, First Christian Church, Barnes and Noble in Joliet, and the main stage at Corn Fest.
