Welcome
What a great time to be a Morningsider!
Fall is underway and the sights and sounds of another academic year are in full force here on the campus of Morningside University. There is a buzz in the air around the Regina Roth Applied Agricultural and Food Studies Department. The Rosen Ag Center and Lags greenhouse are entering their first fall in production with multiple classes using the facilities on a daily basis. The Cargill Outdoor Classroom is home to several students’ projects as well as an exciting new research study. And students, faculty, and staff are excitedly beginning the process of planning for the integration of the new Morningside Farm into the curriculum.
We are indeed blessed and excited to be part of such an exciting time of growth in the department. Whether you are a student, family member, friend, or stakeholder of the program, or will be in the future, we invite you to come and see what our #ExperienceMatters philosophy is all about.
In this newsletter, you will have the opportunity to read about several recent accomplishments and new initiatives of the department.
We hope that you will enjoy reading about them.

Join us for an Ag Visit Day!
Morningside University Admissions would like to invite high school senior students to join us for our Senior Ag Visit Day on Saturday, November 5, 2022!
This special visit day was created with high school students in mind; someone with an interest in Agriculture and/or Food Studies. This will allow students the opportunity to get an up close and personal look at the Regina Roth Applied Agricultural and Food Studies program and Morningside University with planned tours of campus, the Ag Department, and facilities.
You'll get to enjoy a pre-game tailgate, and attend a Morningside University Football game! Game passes provided for students & their family.
The Morningside University Regina Roth Applied Agricultural and Food Studies Department was launched in 2015 in response to the demand for talent in the agriculture sector in the Siouxland area and beyond. Since that time, the program has experienced significant growth and has implemented a variety of experiential learning opportunities for its students, including an on-campus garden and the recent addition of the Rosen Ag Center, state-of-the-art Lags Greenhouse, and the Morningside Farm.
The Morningside University Experience cultivates a passion for lifelong learning and a dedication to ethical leadership and civic responsibility.
