Dr. Paulsen is a Professor and Department Head of the Department. He is beginning his 36th year of teaching, and 14th year in higher education. He's been instrumental in the completion of the greenhouse project! After moving both sons from Sioux City to their new jobs this summer, Tom and his wife Micki got away for a couple of weeks to their beloved cabin in Alexandria, Minnesota.
Dr. Annie is going in to her 21th year in higher education and 5th year at Morningside University. She is realizing her dream of producing and marketing amaranth to the African community in Siouxland! After Moving her daughter to Dallas to her new News Anchor job in August, Annie, her husband Lawrence and her younger daughter Tina (pictured left) spent time with her son and his family in Sun Prairie WI. She is Koko (grandmother) to two beautiful baby girls. They enjoyed watching soccer game.
Dan is going in to his 25th year in education, and 5 years in higher education. His campus duties included teaching classes and is also the Ag Club advisor. He lives with his wife in Whiting. They had two grandkids and enjoying spending time with family.
Melissa is beginning her 5th school year at Morningside in the AAFS Department. She lives on a farm and cattle operation southeast of Moville with her husband Mark and their two boys, Roy-4 and Charlie-2. They enjoyed a vacation to visit a few National Parks, got a lot of cow work and county fair fun in and ate a lot of ice cream this summer.
Dee is going in to her 6th year in higher education. She continues to spend the summer in the Morningside garden working along side Morningside students. The McKenna's live on a small acreage in the Loess Hills outside of Sioux City where they raise a small herd of Simmental cattle.
Nick is an adjunct Agronomy instructor and is going into his 2nd year at Morningside University. He has 25+ years of Agronomy and Marketing experience within the Agricultural industry. He is married to Allison and they have 5 kids Jack, Nathan, Kevin, Ben, and Anna. He has a hobby of raising Heirloom popcorn varieties for his business Schoenpop Popcorn.
Audrey has been the Administrative Coordinator here in the department for a year now! She lives outside Oto, Iowa, with her husband Rob and two children, Marshall (10) and Cora (8). They had a couple of fun adventures in the summer of 2022, the highlight being a trip to Stillwaters Resort on Table Rock Lake in Branson, Mo.!
