While making collages with inspiration from all of the Kintsugi and furniture research I had done, I found some interesting shapes and decided on my final colours for my colour board.

To help with developing shape for my designs I draped three coats over a mannequin and manipulated them in different ways.

Making the garment
Making the garment
Making the garment was the hardest part of this project for me; I had to use the materials I found at home and had to make them work for me.
I hadn't ever bleached a dark fabric and re-dyed it before but I am happy with how beautiful the colours came out.
Having my garment made really helped me with designing the rest of my collection as I was able to draw inspiration from it.
