MCSI is solving a huge poverty problem
Poverty in this part of Uganda is highest in the country. Its escalated by ignorance, illiteracy, and poverty itself. Many poor parent are too poor to educate their children, to treat themselves from common treatable diseases and are too poor to provide basic needs (food, clothing and shelter) for themselves and their families; some due too early deaths, leave high orphan population in the rural community. Deaths due to HIV/AIDS make matters worse. Increasing orphan population has continued to contribute to deep economic problems.
Last year MCSI trained a population of 502 youth and teenage (child) mothers and fathers free of charge because the trainees were unable to afford the little training costs. Many of these trainees were also unable to afford basic training tools because of the said harsh poverty. MCSI gave (last year) and continues to give skills free of charge. To say the least, MCSI is committed to reducing poverty levels by offering skills that will in turn help graduates find jobs, earn money and eradicate household poverty within their rural communities.
Support Orphans find skills
The increasing orphan population needs able parents, Foundations, NGO's (like World Vision, Plan Uganda, Compassion International and others), to meet their training costs with MCSI. The Institute has so many young men and women coming and asking if the institute can train them without pay. The institute is overwhelmed by so many such cases. They are appealing to those who can help to approach the institute administration through admin@morkiswacommunity.com or if you are in Europe you can contact The Dutch foundation: info@morkiswacommunity.com
