Virtual Tools

All Moreland students in grades TK-8 are provided with a Google Suite account, including their own email address. Google Suite is a set of online tools for communication, collaboration, time-management, and document storage. These will be our primary tools for distance teaching and learning, although teachers do have some flexibility to use tools that students may be more familiar with already as well. If you have questions regarding your child’s Google account, please contact your child’s teacher.

All of these tools are housed on the Internet and can be accessed from any Internet-connected device with any web-browser, although Chrome provides the best functionality. No special software is required. To ensure the safety of our students, our Google student domain is “closed.” This means that students can only send and receive e-mail and share documents with their teachers and other students within the district. Students are expected to abide by the rules outlined within the Moreland School District.
