Mora Traveling Baseball Association

OUR MISSION, OUR GOAL, OUR PHILOSOPHY

Mission Statement

MTBA is dedicated to fostering the growth, development, and well-being of our community's youth through the game of baseball. Our mission extends beyond the playing field as we strive to create a positive impact on the community at large.

Our primary objective is to provide a safe, inclusive, and fun environment where athletes can learn valuable life skills such as teamwork, leadership, discipline, and sportsmanship. Through the game of baseball, we aim to instill a sense of responsibility, resilience, and a lifelong love for physical activity.

MTBA is committed to giving back to our community. We pledge to financially donate proceeds and/or time to various K through 12 youth activities, programs, and initiatives that serve to enhance the overall well-being, as well as expand the opportunities, for the youth of our community.

Philosophy

At MTBA, we believe that youth travel baseball serves as a powerful platform for holistic development. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that the lessons learned through the game of baseball extend far beyond wins and losses. We strive to cultivate an environment where every player is encouraged to excel athletically and to embrace the values that will help shape them into well-rounded individuals.

(not sure if we need to add these or not…)

1. Developmental Focus:

We are committed to the comprehensive development of our players, emphasizing skill acquisition, strategic understanding, and character building. Baseball serves as the medium through which we impart life skills such as teamwork, leadership, perseverance, and responsibility.

2. Inclusivity and Unity:

Our league values diversity and inclusivity, fostering an environment where players from various backgrounds come together as one team. We celebrate the unique strengths each individual brings, recognizing that diversity enriches the fabric of our league and community.

3. Character Building:

Beyond the diamond, we prioritize character development. We believe that instilling qualities such as sportsmanship, respect, and integrity is as essential as developing baseball skills. Our players are encouraged to carry these values with them, creating a positive ripple effect within the league and the broader community.

4. Balanced Approach to Competition:

While we embrace the competitive spirit of travel baseball, we advocate for a balanced perspective on success. Winning is a goal, but we equally value the process, effort, and growth that come with facing challenges. Our players learn to navigate both victories and setbacks with grace and resilience.

5. Lifelong Love for the Game:

We aim to cultivate a lifelong love for baseball. Beyond the youth years, we hope our players carry the passion for the game, using the skills and values acquired to enrich their lives and the lives of those around them.
