Coach Larsen started skiing at a very young age. After skiing for Cathedral High School in St. Cloud and Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, he came to Mora for the 2012-13 season. He is a US Ski Team Level 200 certified coach. He has raced in countless Vasaloppets and Birkebeiners among other ski races.
Chip was a wrestler at Braham High School, but he has been skiing since he was little. Chip is a US Ski Team Level 200 coach. Chip recently retired from fighting forest fires in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We like to describe him as an 8 year old boy in a 50 year old man's body. He skies the Vasaloppet every year in both Mora, Minnesota and Sweden. He always has a story, a pair of skis for you in his truck, and something to do with Sweden.
Wade has been skiing for many years, he is well traveled and has completed the worldloppet, racing marathon distance races around the globe. Each year he travels to Sweden for the Swedish Vasaloppet and enjoys racing there at the end of the season. He is glad to lend his international skiing expertise to the Mora Ski Team.
Coach Flanders moved to Mora in 2016 and started coaching in the summer of 2017. His previous passion had been classic skiing but he has begun to learn to skate ski with the team. Chuck is a US Ski Team Level 200 Certified Coach. Chuck and his wife Sue enjoy ski trips and making pottery together.
Katelyn Vickers is the coolest. She makes sure the team has all their essentials- food, inhalers, and a place to collapse at the finish line. Coach Vickers-Hagar will be taking the 2022-2023 season off to take care of her newborn!
