What is the Library Policy?
MA West Campus open library hours are Mon. Tue. Thu. 7:45 am - 8:00 am and 2:45 pm - 3:10 pm
Books are due in 14 days. Audio Books are due in 1 week. There is a book return located on both the East and West Campuses.
A library book may be renewed if no hold has been placed on the book at the time of renewal.
In-library holds may be placed only on unavailable books.
There is a limit of two graphic novels for K-5th grade (this also applies online).
Library notices and reminders are sent to parent email addresses. Check your junk or spam folders.
Students can use their school username and passwords to log into the Library’s online Destiny Discover and browse for books, plus place holds for library delivery.
Books requested through the Library’s online Destiny Discover will be delivered to the student as soon as they are available.
Fines will be given for lost or severely damaged books. Please keep them safe!

Follett Software is the library and resource management system Monument Academy uses to manage our library catalog, providing online library services for all materials. Destiny brings school assets in an intuitive management system that catalogs, reports inventory, includes usage statistics, and additional capabilities. Follett Destiny Discover is a tool that allows students and educators to access and search for digital and print resources, including eBooks, audiobooks, and interactive books. It also provides access to subscription databases.

SEARCH DESTINY Discover
Destiny Discover is a tool that allows users to find and access library resources. To browse, enter the title, author name, or subject of the book you wish to find. Select the advanced search icon to the right of the search bar for advanced search options; this gives you the option to set the interest level (grade) and reading level to your preference.
STEPS TO PLACE A HOLD
East and West Campus students may browse digital and print resources, including eBooks and audiobooks online. To request a book from the library, follow the steps described in "How Do I Request a Library Book?"
View Your Student LIbrary ACCOUNT
Log in to Destiny with your student account to view your current checkouts, checkout history, current holds, list of favorites, and library fines.
Parents, would you like to see what your child is checking out? Log in to Destiny with their student ID and select "My Stuff." Choose "History" from the drop-down menu. This will include a student's entire checkout history through Monument Academy.
How do I find Destiny on my ChromeBook?
From your Chrome Book, open your browser and look for the bookmark in the top left corner. Click on the bookmark "MA East Campus." Select "Destiny Discover."
What is my Login?
Use your school username and password to log in to Destiny Discover. If your login does not work try a new browser window. If it still doesn't work, contact your librarian, Mrs. Huffman.

battle of the books
Meeting Wednesday, October 2nd
BOB is a reading incentive program for 5th graders. We are looking for ten students with a passion for reading. Challenge yourself to read all 40 books and battle every school in the county. We will begin meeting once a week on Wednesdays at 1:25 pm during recess.

Enter your drawing to support our Fall book fair!
It's time to get creative and show your love for reading! Turn in your drawing to your teacher by October 4th. Drawings will be displayed in the hallways. There will be one winner per grade.
Include the words "Fall Book Fair" on your artwork. Your name, teacher's name, and grade go on the back of your paper. For more details, click here.
skyTREE BOOK FAIR
Join us for our NEW Book Fair at the MA West Campus Library!
The fair will run from October 7th - 16th in the library. Parents may shop during our open hours from 3:15 - 3:50 at the end of each day. The fair is open during conferences and closed for Fall break. Play games for prizes, donate a book to a teacher, or browse great books. Keep an eye out for flyers sent home with students! More flyers available upon request.

To purchase a gift card visit skytreebookfairs.org/giftcards.
Once you purchase your card, print it out and bring it to the fair. There is also an option to email a card as a gift. There is no expiration for unused funds - unused portions will work at the next fair!
Donate a Book to a Teacher
Help build a classroom library!
Bins with teacher names on them will be located in the library during the book fair. Teachers will place their books from their wish lists in these bins. If you want to purchase one for the teacher, please bring a book from the bin to the register. Donations can include your and your child's names or be left anonymous. Books are delivered to the classroom at the end of the fair.

where do I return a book?
Are you looking for the book return inside East Campus? The black return box is located in the main lobby between the front office door and the fireplace.
Please give your return 48 hours to process in Destiny Discover. Your book will be checked back in soon. If your account does not show that your books are returned after 48 hours, you may message the librarian khuffman@monumentacademy.net.

Review your favorite books on Destiny so other students can find great books. Click 'Add Review' and add your star rating. Top-rated books will be added to Destiny's Library Catalog home page.
