All About Me!

First Grade is my favorite grade to teach!  I really enjoy watching my  students grow and learn new things!  There are so many things that are introduced for the first time throughout the school year!  I have been teaching First Grade at Montour for 22 years!  My background is in Early Childhood Education and Psychology.  I have taught Preschool for 13 years, and have had the pleasure of teaching High School students and Adults too before joining the Montour Family!   

I have two daughters who graduated from Montour and they are teachers also!  Dayna is a speech therapist at Seneca Valley and Chrystie teaches technology, STEAM and sometimes Math at Deer Lakes!   My son-in-laws are essential workers.  I have 4 grandchildren!   I love watching my grandchildren learn new things too!  

My husband and I have been very active in the Montour Community and have  worked with children for many years as Sports parents, Band parents, and Theater Arts parents too!  My husband has fond memories of coaching girl's softball and driving the band truck to football games and band camp and was President of the MFPA.   Some of the highlights during this time for me was being part of the Theater Arts Makeup Committee, chaperoning football games, band camp, and attending all the band trips and theater trips too!
