-Our Language Arts lessons are taught in a 6 school day rotation.
VERY IMPORTANT- Please take time to cuddle and read with your child as often as you can. Reading nightly is ideal and I feel one of the most important things to do to make your child successful. You can read any book of interest, our decodable books, and our weekly stories.
Homework should only take about 10-15 minutes a night. Children need to be children; so please allow them to play and explore and have a wonderful childhood. And, with this being said there will be NO homework on Fridays! Only if there is a test on Monday, I suggest to study important skills.

I will be giving each student a weekly calendar that is for Homework and Reminders to keep in their Take Home folder. Please make sure to check this calendar. It is very important to me to have appropriate behavior in my classroom in order for your child and others to learn successfully. If there are any concerns with behavior, I will leave a note on the Homework and Reminders sheet.
We will be doing Spartan Slips for our Positive School Wide Behavior, and we will be doing Barbaro Bucks for our classroom behavior. They both work hand in hand with each other and have great opportunities to earn great prizes! More information will be forthcoming on these procedures.
