MEET THE TEACHER

Hello! I would like to take a moment to welcome you to kindergarten and to introduce myself. My name is Mrs. Lauren Hann and this is my nineteenth year teaching kindergarten in the Montour School District. I have a husband (Wynn), two daughters (Uma- 11 and Mila- 4), and two dogs (Puggie and Alfie). I love spending time with my family, playing soccer, and being outdoors. I completed my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and I earned my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Penn State University.

I am truly looking forward to a very fun, exciting, and successful school year for both you and your child. To ensure this success, communication is very important. One of our best sources of communication will be your child’s folder. Please check your child’s backpack, folder and papers daily. You will be able to monitor your child’s progress by checking his/her daily work and you will be up to date with classroom and school news. Plus, you never know what surprises you may discover in your child’s backpack! If you should ever have a question or concern, please do not hesitate to write me a note in the morning or send me an email at hannl@montourschools.com and I promise to get back to you as soon as possible.

This year is a very special year for you and your child and it will be filled with excitement! I will strive to help your child succeed in many fun and engaging ways in a positive learning environment. Thank you in advance for the support and dedication that you have for your child’s success.
