Governance and Purpose
The Montessori Education Association (MEA) is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to advancing Montessori education throughout the state of Alabama. Run by a working Board of Trustees, MEA exists to support individuals and educational communities who are committed to the Montessori philosophy. Our purpose is to foster a collaborative and unified community, promote the successful implementation of Montessori programs, and uphold the standards established by Dr. Maria Montessori and recognized accrediting bodies around the world.
