Monthly Check-in (first Monday of the month)
Progress is updated on the first Monday of the month.
Students who maintain their reading average will earn reward(s).
Monthly: Individuals receive Barry Points for maintaining their weekly reading average of 150 minutes/week for the previous month.
Elite Readers are entered into a raffle for a bonus prize drawing (when available)
Only count independent reading. You can include assigned novels or literature in English or Spanish classes. Don’t include homework or textbook reading.

Follow instructions in Google Classroom on how to sign in to Bookopolis
Go to Log My Reading:
From anywhere on Bookopolis, click on Log My Reading at the top menu bar.
Find the Book You're Reading:
On My bookshelf, locate the book you're reading (you should be in the Reading It Now section) and click on Log My Reading for that book.
Log Your Progress:
A pop-up window will appear
Select the date and input the number of pages and minutes read.
You may add a quick note about your reading or your thoughts.
Don't forget to set the date.
Save Your Log.
Be honest with your reading logs. Be truthful about how long you read and how many pages you read.
Your logs will be checked. Exaggerated numbers may disqualify you from earning rewards.
The average person usually reads one page per minute.
There are 1440 minutes in a day. If you sleep 480 minutes (8 hours) and are at school for 360 minutes (6 hours), you have 600 minutes (10 hours) for other things like fun, friends, family, homework, meals, screentime, and reading.
Make sure your reading logs make sense.
