Middle School students are permitted to have a cell phone on their person. If it is being used during the day without permission from staff it will be confiscated. Repeat offenders will have their phones turned into the office and a parent/guardian will be responsible for retrieving it from school. 

As technology continues to advance and communication and distractions become even more prevalent we will continue to adjust our policy. Families will be notified of these changes before they are implemented.

Our expectations remain the same as district policy. For more specific  details than ones listed below please reference the above hyperlinked policy.

Lower body clothes should extend to finger length. Including clothing with holes, tears, or rips.

Hat, hoodies, sunglasses may not be worn inside the building.

Upper body clothes should cover bellies, backs, and breasts as outlined in policy JICA.

Any clothing, paraphernalia, grooming, jewelry, hair coloring, accessories, or body adornments that are or contain any advertisement, symbols, words, slogans, patches, or pictures that: 

• Refer to drugs, tobacco, alcohol, or weapons

• Are of a sexual nature 

• By virtue of color, arrangement, trademark, or other attribute denote membership in gangs which advocate drug use, violence, or disruptive behavior 

• Are obscene, profane, vulgar, lewd, or legally libelous 

• Threaten the safety or welfare of any person 

• Promote any activity prohibited by the student code of conduct File:  JICA 

• Otherwise disrupt the teaching-learning process
