we need your photos

ALL students are needed to make the yearbook. Help us document this year and show us what you're doing.

  • Make sure photos have faces! It's great if you're showing us your hike or at home workout, but we need YOU in the photo :)

  • You can send us a variety, remember to take horizontal and vertical. That gives us options to fit the page layout.

  • Always send us the original photo from your phone camera roll or your camera. Screenshots and social media photos are not as high quality. iPhone users check your settings below to make sure you're sending jpeg format.

  • Be sure to include information about the photo in your upload such as: who took it, who is in it, when it was taken, where, etc.

UPLOAD or EMAIL your photos to us in one of these methods:

  • EMAIL - See a list of yearbook student staff with their emails and the list of what each one is working on so you know who to send it to.

  • EMAIL - mhsyearbook@monroe.wednet.edu for a non specific topic.

  • SNAP APP - Upload the app 'Yearbook Snap' then choose Monroe High School and enter bearcats as the password

best iphone camera format

HEIC is the file format name Apple has chosen for the new HEIF (High Efficiency Image Format) Standard. Using advanced and modern compression methods, it allows photos to be created in smaller file sizes while retaining a higher image quality compared to JPEG/JPG.

This new file type, however, may not be compatible with all devices. Please send us JPEG/JPG files and NOT HEIC.

To set your Apple devices to take photos in JPEG/JPG instead of HEIC:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Tap Camera

  3. Tap Formats

  4. Tap Most Compatible
