My name is Miss Kalli Lyon, and I am excited to begin my seventh year of teaching at Joe Harrison Carter Elementary! I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and earned my Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of the Cumberlands in 2022. I am currently pursuing my Rank I certification through GRREC. 

JHC holds a special place in my heart because it is where I attended elementary school. It is truly a blessing to return as a teacher and give back to the school that helped shape who I am. Once a Cardinal, always a Cardinal! 

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my German Shepherd, Gunner. I am blessed with two wonderful parents and three older siblings—two sisters and one brother. I also have two nieces and two nephews who I love to spoil every chance I get. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, hunting, and collecting plants.
