All About Ms. Angela

Hello, My name is Angela Roberson Wheeler, and your child probably calls me Ms. Angela.  I am teaching 2nd grade reading this year.  I will be starting my 21st year teaching this year.  I have always lived in Monroe County.  I graduated from MCHS in 1997.  I attended and graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2003, with my K-5 Teaching Certification.  I received my Reading Recovery certification from the University of Kentucky in 2006.  I then received my fifth year teaching certification from Western Kentucky University in 2008.  In 2020 I became a National Board Certified Teacher in Literacy.  I have taught first grade, second grade, Reading Recovery, Comprehensive Intervention Model, Leveled Literacy Intervention, and UFLI Phonics Program. 

My Family

My family members include my husband, Johnny Wheeler, who works for SCRTC, a daughter, Callie Jo, who is 16 years old, and is a Junior at MCHS this year, and a son, John Elliott, who is  9 years old and attends Fourth Grade at JHC.  I love spending time with my family and reading.
