Established in 2011, Oxfam at Monash is a student-led social welfare club affiliated with the Monash Student Association (MSA). As one of 150 vibrant student clubs, we are united by a shared commitment to justice, equity, and global solidarity.
We aim to provide volunteering opportunities for students to engage and give back to the wider Melbourne community. Through our social media, events and newsletter initiatives, we educate our peers about humanitarian issues, systemic injustice, and the power of collective action. Informed minds become empowered voice!
We built this website to be a central hub for students and community members who share our passion for social justice and humanitarian action. As Oxfam at Monash, we want to create a space that:
Connects people with meaningful volunteering opportunities — in Monash University and beyond
Showcases our events, campaigns, and leadership programs that empower students to make a difference
Educates visitors about global and local issues through accessible resources and training
Encourages active participation, whether through joining our club, attending events, or taking on leadership roles
