“Help yourself — or someone you care about — join the journey to better gut health today!”
You are invited to participate in or connect older people to a research study to evaluate the effectiveness of dietary fibre fructooligosaccharides (FOS) in improving the gut health of older adults with low socioeconomic status. This study is a collaboration between Monash University Malaysia and Tata Chemicals. Your participation in this study is voluntary.
If you decide to take part in the study, you will be asked to provide:
Stool specimen (3 time points)
Urine specimen (3 time points)
Diet information
Lifestyle information
You will receive a set of stool and urine collection kit and return mailing envelope at each time point, and an online link to submit your health, diet and lifestyle information.
Information obtained from this study will improve our understanding of how dietary fibre affects gut health in older adults, which could lead to better nutrition strategies and health interventions for others in the future — especially for those in underprivileged communities.
You will be compensated for your participation in this study upon confirmation of specimens submission and completion of questionnaires.
