HALL FACILITIES

A kitchen is located on each floor of Gillies. Equipped with multiple stovetops,  microwaves and ovens. Just off the kitchen is a dining/studying area with a TV.

Accessible bathrooms are located on the first floor (ground floor).

Located on the first floor (ground floor). Equipped with front loading washing machines, tumble dryers, irons and ironing boards.  

The Common Room is located on the first floor (ground floor) of Gillies Hall. This is also where the Games Room, Games Pod, Music Room, and Study Room are located. The Common Room and Games Room are equipped with projectors, and all spaces have ample seating.

The Games Room is also equipped with two vending machines, a pool table, table tennis table, and a foosball table. 

In the study room we have a printer which you can access 24/7 and print from using your M-Pass.

Open from 8am to 10pm daily, located on the first floor (ground floor) of Gillies Hall. Equipped with a piano. No alcohol permitted.

Located outside Gillies Hall.

Gillies mail boxes are located on the ground floor in the foyer of Gilles. It is recommended that you secure your mailbox with a lock of your choosing, which you must provide. 

Mail and parcels for Residential Village will be delivered directly to these residences by Australia Post.

Around Gillies and the Residential Village, there are a number of BBQ areas and gardens which residents are welcome to use.

A communal garden managed by Monash Residential Services. Residents are welcome to use this garden to harvest a wide variety of herbs and vegetables. 

Bins are collected every fortnight on Thursdays, and residents must ensure they put their rubbish out for collection prior to this.

• Samada Street: Red lid bin in bin area - weekly council collection 

• Holmes Street: Red lid bin - weekly council collection 

Co-mingled Waste Collection:

• Gillies Hall: Yellow lid bin in bike store on level 1 (go out the back door of Gillies Hall to your right.

• Student Village: Yellow lid bin at waste station behind House 2 

• Bloom Street: Yellow lid bin in 2 bin areas - fortnightly council collection 

• Lardner Road: Yellow lid bin - fortnightly council collection 

• Samada Street: Yellow lid bin in bin area - fortnightly council collection
