Dr Joanne Caldwell, 39.
Dr Joanne Caldwell is a senior lecturer at Monash University, convening for 3rd year physiology units Exercise Physiology and Metabolism and Clinical and experimental cardiovascular physiology. Alongside these teaching roles, Joanne is involved in a number of research projects spanning the fields of thermal, exercise, and respiratory physiology.
Joanne fostered her love for science while completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, before completing her Masters and PhD at the University of Wollongong. Her thesis focussed on the interaction of the thermal environment, clothing and auxiliary body cooling in the workplace. Joanne has undertaken a number of jobs including Research assistant, teaching associate, respiratory function technician, and human performance scientist for the Defence Science and Technology Group.
