The Monash Medical Education Conference (MMEC) aims to provide an annual forum for key Monash Medicine program stakeholders to get together to share medical education successes and consider the ongoing quality enhancement of the Monash Doctor of Medicine course. The theme for the conference this year is 'New Horizons in Medical Education at Monash'.

Through the MMEC, we will together: 

• discuss challenges in teaching and learning in order to develop solutions; 

• develop a better understanding of how the different parts of the curriculum fit together (i.e. horizontal and vertical integration); 

• share teaching and learning strategies and best practice; 

• build relationships with other stakeholders to enhance teaching, learning, and curriculum integration; and

• develop educational capabilities through faculty development.

The MMEC is an annual forum for key distributed stakeholders in the Monash Medicine program including educational leaders, clinical and non-clinical educators, Monash graduates, Monash medical students, professional staff and patients. Stakeholders from across the various and distributed sites, both University-based and clinical schools, in Clayton, Rural Victoria and Malaysia are welcome.
