The cheapest way to get here is to take the Skybus from the airport to Southern Cross Station, jump on a train to Huntingdale (Pakenham/Cranbourne line) and then catch the 601 shuttle bus from Huntingdale station to the campus. Total cost around $30. Check the ptv website for details.
The fastest way to get here is in a taxi, but it will cost you around $120.
From any City Loop station (Flinders Street, Southern Cross, Melbourne Central, Parliament, Flagstaff) catch a train on the Pakenham/Cranbourne line to Huntingdale station. Then catch the 601 shuttle bus from Huntingdale station to the campus.
In Melbourne, public transport is paid for using a myki card, which also acts as a ticket. Myki cards can be purchased at all major train stations, 7-eleven shops and most newsagents. Please refer to PTV (Public Transport Victoria) website for more information.
You can check hotels close to campus or accomodation affiliated with the university. Staying somewhere in South Yarra is another option which is on the train line to Monash (30 mins to campus) but in a lively area closer to the centre of Melbourne. Other areas of Melbourne to consider are the city centre (also known as the CBD) or Richmond.
