About Mrs. Morton

Mrs. Morton is entering her fifteenth year of teaching, and her third at John Deere Middle School. She graduated from Augustana College in 2011 with her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and completed her Masters in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in 2021. 

Her main instruments are oboe and piano, and Mrs. Morton tries to perform as often as she can. You'll also see her accompanying for student performances, musicals, playing in the Orion Community Band and other area ensembles, and serving as a clinician for music programs all over the Quad Cities!

Mrs. Morton lives in Moline with her husband, Mr. Morton (MHS Director of Band and Orchestras), sons Teddy and Emmett, pups Linus and Rufus, and cat Nora (the real boss of the house).
