If you are a buyer, be sure that if you are purchasing a home that an inspector found mold or water damage during the inspection process.   

First, if you love the house, don't let that be a reason to not move forward.   Mold can be fixed and brought back to a healthy state.

Second, be sure to approve of the contractor that will be doing the work to get it cleaned/remediated.  Request a transferrable warranty, a certified company, clearance testing that will be analyzed by an independent laboratory that is 'not' the remediating company.
