Receiving the Sacred Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal Statue on Merak Selchoe
Our school had the honour of receiving the sacred statue of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, en route to Merak from the Trashigang Dratshang for Merak Selchoe.
The Lam Neten of Trashigang Dratshang and his entourage did the honour as an annual event. Students and staff gathered with reverence and devotion to receive the sacred statue and receive blessings.
The auspicious occasion offered our school community a meaningful opportunity to express our faith, devotion and gratitude, while seeking blessings for the well-being, peace and prosperity of all.
Earthquake Mock Drill Conducted on National Earthquake Mock Drill Day
The School conducted an earthquake mock drill today to create awareness among students and the school community on the importance of earthquake preparedness and safety.
The drill provided learners and staff with an opportunity to practise appropriate safety measures, understand how to respond calmly during an earthquake, and strengthen our collective preparedness for emergencies.
Through such practical activities, we continue to promote a culture of safety, awareness and preparedness within our school community
Inter-House Dzongkha Reading Competition
Certificates were awarded to Master Khedup Jamtsho of Class VI A, who was recognised as the Best Reader, and to Taag House, the winning house, for their commendable participation in the Inter-House Dzongkha Reading Competition held on 18 September 2026.
The competition provided learners with an opportunity to strengthen their reading fluency, pronunciation, expression and confidence while nurturing a love for reading.

Reading Week 2026 | Inter-House English Reading Competition
The school observed a week-long Reading Week from 7 to 11 September 2026, encouraging students to develop a love for reading and strengthen their reading fluency, pronunciation, expression, and confidence.
As a culminating activity, the Inter-House English Reading Competition was conducted on 11 September 2026, providing students with a platform to showcase their reading skills.
Congratulations to Druk House for emerging as the winning house! Certificates were awarded to the participants of the winning house in recognition of their commendable performance and teamwork.
A special congratulations to the Overall Best Reader, Master Tashi Wangchuk from class V for an outstanding individual performance.
The week-long celebration was a wonderful opportunity to nurture a positive reading culture and inspire our young learners to make reading a joyful part of their everyday lives
